Technology transfer professionals from across the world recently came together under the TenU banner to discuss how universities can best cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset. The event explored practical approaches that institutions can take to encourage innovation, with contributions from MIT, the University of Edinburgh, KU Leuven and UNSW Sydney.
The panel highlighted five key areas of best practice: creating supportive structures, designing effective incentives, demonstrating leadership commitment, fostering inspiration, and recognising that entrepreneurial culture can be developed in any university setting.
The discussion was chaired by Dr Catherine Headley, CEO of The University of Manchester Innovation Factory, who said:
“It was a privilege to facilitate such a rich exchange of perspectives from international colleagues. The insights shared will be invaluable as TTOs continue to strengthen the role universities play in nurturing entrepreneurship and delivering impact for society and the economy.”
TenU has published a blog and podcast capturing the five key insights from the session. You can read and listen here.
