Jog on! Members of IP Services, our Financial Director and Director of Life Sciences Projects all took part in the city centre race, raising money for local charity

This weekend (22nd May 2022) saw Manchester tie their laces and bare their bibs as thousands of people took part in this week’s two running events: the Manchester Half Marathon, and the Manchester 10k.

We are so proud of our colleagues Jane Shelton, Marie Sutton, Duncan Henderson, Freddy Guemeni and Linda Henson for completing the 10k and raising money for the amazing local chairty, Coffee4Craig, who support the lives of homeless people in Manchester.

“The Manchester 10k is always a good event with an amazing show of people from all over the country. It was a warm day, so at 5k it already felt like 10k, and at 7k the legs got really heavy…

It’s a great feeling running with your colleagues, knowing that you are all there supporting one another. Freddy felt extra special as people seemed to know his name, only realising at the end that it was written across his chest on his bib.

Running down Chester Road with the skyline of Manchester in front of you is such an amazing sight; and knowing that you are running to raise money for some of the most vulnerable members of our society really spurs you on through that finish line.

Coffee4Craig is a great charity – we’re so pleased we could support them doing something so special!” – Linda Henson, Senior IP Executive
