The University of Manchester Innovation Factory has announced the creation of four more new spinout companies.
The latest companies showcase the breadth of research emerging from The University of Manchester, with innovations spanning sustainable materials, digital health and diagnostics. Each has been established to translate world-leading research into products and services with the potential to improve lives, support industry and create economic impact.
The four newest spinouts are:
ColoriQuo is developing next generation structural colour technologies inspired by nature. Using food safe, sugar-based and bio-derived materials, the company replaces traditional pigments and synthetic dyes with vibrant, sustainable colours created through structure rather than chemistry.
Pacentrica is developing a suite of digital tools designed to transform pain assessment and long-term pain management. At the heart of its platform is the Manchester Digital Pain Manikin, which enables people living with chronic pain to accurately map, monitor and communicate their symptoms.
Imprinted Diagnostics is developing rapid diagnostic technologies capable of delivering laboratory-quality results outside traditional clinical settings. Their mission is to provide fast, accurate diagnostics wherever they are needed, helping improve healthcare access and outcomes, particularly in underserved communities around the world. Their first product aims to improve the triaging of heart attacks.
Zenithym is commercialising their Elecspheres platform of semiconducting polymer nanoparticles, across industries including oil and gas, endoscopy, and specialist solutions providers
These latest additions join our growing portfolio of spinout companies, crossing sectors, technology domains and impact. Our spinout portfolio reflects the diversity of research being translated into real-world impact across multiple sectors.
