Ben is an Innovation Discovery Manager at UMIF, covering the Faculty of Science and Engineering, where he supports the commercialisation of research.
Prior to working at UMIF Ben completed an integrated MSc in Chemistry followed by a PhD on the synthesis of organic dye compounds at the University of Nottingham. He then moved into commercial R&D in the chemical industry, working on the medium/large scale synthesis of organic building blocks and intermediates.
Ben is primarily responsible for projects across the Department of Chemistry and the Department of Earth and Environmental Science, please reach out with any enquires related to these areas.
