Dinali earned her BSc Honours in Chemistry from the University of Durham and completed a PhD in Physical Chemistry at the University of Southampton, focusing on magnetic resonance properties of liquid crystalline dimers. With a background as a Research Scientist at Sharp Laboratories of Europe Ltd and an Investment Manager at Synergis Technologies, she brings a wealth of experience in technology commercialisation and investment.

Dinali has experience as Technology Commercialisation Manager at Brunel University, where she conducted data mining in various academic departments to identify projects suitable for commercialisation. During her time there, she collaborated with senior academics to develop strategies for spin-out companies and licensing deals, as well as engaged with potential investment partners.

Between 2015 - 2023, Dinali was a Principal Licensing and Ventures Manager at Oxford University Innovation, collaborating across university departments to identify opportunities for commercialisation and serving as a board observer for spinout companies in the Digital Health team.

Dinali is the Head of Licensing and Investment (Science & Engineering) at the University of Manchester Innovation Factory, since joining us in 2023.
