Eoin is an Innovation Discovery Manager for science and engineering at the University of Manchester Innovation Factory, where he is responsible for identifying commercially viable projects and helping translate research into real-world impact.
Before joining the Innovation Factory, Eoin worked at the university in the Department of Physics & Astronomy on proton transport through graphene and other 2D materials. He has expertise in nanofabrication and condensed matter physics. A strong supporter of innovation, he ran multiple Graphene Hackathon events during his PhD – encouraging enterprising students to think of commercialising their ideas.
