Joanna is an experienced and dynamic Pharma and Life Sciences professional. She has worked in drug development, chromatography & mass spectrometry, and metabolomics & lipidomics for over 17 years at global organisations in a R&D and commercial capacity, such as GSK, Waters, Thermo Fisher, Recipharm.

She has managed large multidisciplinary projects and has experience of regulatory submissions for new pharmaceutical products. She has also held a lectureship in pharmacology and led her own research group in biomedical spectroscopy, synchrotron-FTIR and clinical translation of spectroscopy.

Joanna holds a PhD in Biological Chemistry from the University of Manchester and has widely published whilst working in both academia and industry.

She is now responsible for identifying commercially viable Life Science projects from the University of Manchester, and optimising them for real world impact.
