Leyla completed her undergraduate degree in Biomaterials and her Master’s degree in Tissue Engineering for Regenerative Medicine at the University of Manchester. She subsequently undertook doctoral research in peripheral nerve regeneration, carrying out her PhD across the Universities of Leeds and Sheffield.
Following her doctorate, Leyla spent two years as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Trinity College Dublin.
Most recently, she has worked within the healthcare industry, primarily in research and development roles focused on advanced wound care and cell culture technologies.
She joins as a Commercial Development Manager in Life Sciences.
