Leyla completed her undergraduate degree in Biomaterials and her Master’s in Tissue Engineering for Regenerative Medicine at the University of Manchester, before undertaking doctoral research in peripheral nerve regeneration across the Universities of Leeds and Sheffield.
Following her PhD, Leyla spent two years as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Trinity College Dublin. Most recently, she worked in the healthcare industry in research and development roles focused on advanced wound care and cell culture technologies.
