Martin Schröder is Vice-President of The University of Manchester and Dean of the Faculty of Science and Engineering.

Martin achieved his PhD from Imperial College, University of London, and completed postdoctoral fellowships at the ETH, Zurich and at the University of Cambridge. As well as working as a Professor of Inorganic Chemistry at the University of Edinburgh, Martin was Head of the School of Chemistry at the University of Nottingham and Executive Dean of the Faculty of Science.

Martin has been a Visiting Professor at Universities around the world, and has received multiple awards. He has also published over 500 publications and patents, as well as being a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh (FRSE) and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC).
