Paula is Chief Operating Officer at the University of Manchester Innovation Factory, where she leads corporate services and oversees the effective operation of key business functions across the organisation.
A qualified accountant, she brings extensive experience as a finance professional and senior leader, having managed finance, HR, legal, marketing, IT and procurement functions across a range of sectors.
Paula has held several senior roles in the organisation, joining as Deputy Corporate Services Director in 2022, then Corporate Services Director in 2024 and now Chief Operating Officer, where she plays a central role in strengthening operational capability and supporting strategic delivery. Her earlier career spans finance leadership positions in both commercial and consultancy environments, underpinned by a strong track record in organisational governance and business operations.
She is committed to enabling high performing teams and ensuring the Innovation Factory has the systems, processes and support needed to drive the commercialisation of research and deliver impact for the University.
